Sheah Blue Vineyard
We fell in love with this private vineyard and the hosts as soon as we visited. The grounds are beautiful with vineyards throughout the property, a large private lake, and two airB&B cottages available for you to rent (some other time – this weekend they are ours) ☺ There is a covered area where many festivities will be, but also make sure you’re comfortable to walk around in the grass as well.
Google does a great job of getting you to Sheah Blue, just remember that once you’re past Filley heading east on Highway 136 to slow down when you see the sign for entering Johnson County – it’s a fast, fun turn to the right just 100 yards after that. We should have some signs up to help you follow about 3 miles of gravel and then we will be ready to party!
This is most likely different than what you expect – so check it out and come ready for a great, relaxed celebration.
4:00 HAPPY HOUR BEGINS
This is a really happy day, so why wait to celebrate? Jon and Sophia will be out mingling with you…don’t worry – you didn’t miss anything – the best is yet to come! Get a drink, have some snacks, play yard games, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and wonderful people. The open bar will be serving beer, cider, wine, soda, and water. Please drink responsibly.
5:30 THE BIG I DO
The highlight of the night! This moment is more meaningful than we can describe, but still short and sweet. Plan to stand for the 15-20 minute ceremony.
Have another drink and keep playing games, grab a bite to eat, and be ready to dance!
6:00 – 9:00 GRAB YOUR DINNER
Food Truck style. Muchachos will be serving nachos and tacos with your choice of pork or chicken. Don’t bother waiting for Jon & Sophia to get started – just let them sneak ahead of you if you see them in line. Make sure you get your meal before they leave – otherwise, we hope you really like popcorn.
10:30 FINAL DANCE
Jon and Sophia will soak in the memories of the night with a last dance. It’s okay if you stay or if you had to leave earlier, but whoever is around much after this will get to help clean 🙂 while Jon and Sophia head off to the corn crib for their first night as Mr. and Mrs. Imms.
WHERE TO STAY
Sorry – both the rooms on site will be taken for the night. If you’re not planning on heading home at the end of the event, the closest place to stay is Beatrice, Nebraska, where there are a couple hotels listed below. We haven’t checked them out or reserved any rooms, since most will likely head home, but feel free to try it out!

WHAT TO WEAR
Be comfortable! Hopefully this will be an outdoor event, so dress ready for lots of time in the grass, playing yard games, and on the dance floor. If it rains, there is a large covered area for dancing and merriment.
